Hotel-History

Did you know?

The term "Pfaffe" (from latin: papa = Father) is not only an aspersion appellation for a clericalist, but also for people, which fabricate paper.

A long time ago, these people also fabricated paper in Damm. Along from "Aschaff" (River) there existed a very famous mill for the paper manufacture - the "Pfaffenmühle".

That was the time before the motorway 3 was built - in the year 1896.

In the middle of the 20th century the former paper buildings Aschaffenburg (PWA) used the hotel like it is nowadays, as an administration building. The association was to call the building "Pfaffenmühle" after selling the PWA.
